Will The Sims 3 play?

I have a mac mini with a GMA 950 graphics card. Now I know this doesn't meet the requirements for it, but would I be able to play the Sims 3 on it? I was just wondering because I read something really ambiguous on a forum which suggested it might work if the graphics options were just turned down to bottom. I don't mind doing this because I don't really care about graphics - I care more about gameplay...
