Did Collingwood only win because of the umpires?

I'm a Collingwood supporter but missed the game. i did see the end though. i woke up this morning this morning and saw this article http://au.sports.yahoo.com/afl/news/article/-/6026808/craig-umpires-blame . is this the media trying to make a story out of it or was the umpiring unfair. in this article it says that the defender who gave away the free kick at the end says "it was an incorrect decision". But look at the picture. he is clearly being held!!!!!!
