Why doesn't my bamboo shrimp move?

i got a bamboo shrimp about 2days ago and it has moved very rarely.all day hes been under a log ornament i have.i think its still alive cause i see his whiskers moving.well he leave from under the log anytime or is he just scared from his new home.also what do they eat?i heard they are filter feaders
