What will it take for Haiti to come into the 21st Century?

No other nation in the English, French, Dutch or Spanish speaking West Indies is as backward and illiterate as Haiti. Haiti needs a modern leader going forward to bring them into the 21st Century. Enough of the y, "we were the first Black Republic..." Who cares? That was in 1804 and by that time the French and Spanish had drained all the gold and wealth out of Haiti so it was not such a bad business deal for the French and Spanish to take a loss. Look where France and Spain are now compared to Haiti and you tell me businesspeople who got the better deal?
