Do you ever find yourself doing things to your kids that your parents did to you & you said you'd never do?

To rephrase the question - Have you ever found yourself doing things to your children (, grounding, smacking them across the face for being disrespectful Etc. That your parents did to you when you were a child, and you swore at the time that you would never do to your own children? If so, what?
