Buddy Holly widow question ?

I heard Buddy Holly's widow Maria(long since remarried) still controls all Holly merchandise, promotion and royalties. I heard she makes a lot of $ today, she even controls the property where Holly's plane crashed in Iowa, and charges people (thru an property manager) to get to the sacred site where there is a memorial. I also heard she is blocking using Buddy's name/image for the hugh 50th anniversary concert planned in Clear Lake Iowa at the Surf Ballroom for Feb 2, 2009.. Is any of this true? Or is Maria Elena's name being unfairly trashed after all, these years.?
